A warm invitation to the next shared Day of Mindfulness of the Thich Nhat Hanh meditation groups from Berlin and Potsdam
We are looking forward to a day with all Sangha friends where we can breathe, listen, sit, walk and simply be together and feel the energy of practicing in community.

It is in the midst of our daily life and in our actual contact with others that we can know whether our mind of love is really present and how stable it is. If love is real, it will be evident in our daily life, in the way we relate with people and the world.
THICH NHAT HANH
The day will be a mix of English and German and we’re still looking for people to help translate. Please get in touch at sct@wakeupberlin.org if you’re able to support with translation (especially GER-ENG for the dharma talk).
Please also get in touch in case you have a microphone and speakers we might be able to use 🙂
Organisational Details
When?
Sunday 20.07., ca. 10 am until ca. 5 pm
Doors will be open from 10. Please allow yourself to arrive between 10 and 10:20 to have some time to settle and maybe have a cup of tea and so that we can start with the first element at 10:30.
We will end in a way so that people who need to leave can leave at 5 pm and will appreciate some helping hands with the clean-up after that.
Where?
Buddhist Center Lotos-Vihara
Neue Blumenstraße 5
10179 Berlin (Mitte)
The closest public transport stops are S+U Jannowitzbrücke (S3, S5, S7, S9, U8, ca. 10 min walking distance) and U Schillingstrasse (U5, ca 5 min walking distance). There is no parking directly on the premises.
What to bring?
Please bring yourself a picknick for lunch. If at least 20 people chose to, there is also an option to get a (vegan and gluten free) meal at the Lotos Vihara Café for 9,50€. If you’re interested in this, please write it down in the sign up list, so we can let them know .
We’re not able to make a buffet this time, but if you bring a picknick for lunch, maybe it would be nice to prepare it in a way that you can give half your portion to someone else (and get a “new” half from a different person) so we still get to keep the sharing food aspect.
We will not be able to heat up any food or have a buffet.
Please bring your own cup (and label it if it’s not easy to recognize).
dāna: This Day of Mindfulness involves some financial expenses, mainly the rent for the beautiful space we get to use. In order to cover the costs and to ensure that events like this can continue to take place in the future, we will collect some dana on the day. Please be assured that you’re very welcome regardless of financial means. If your current circumstances allow for it, here is some orientation: 5€/person will cover the costs for the day, everything above that will help people attend who do not have the means to contribute in this way and help finance the next maha sangha events.
Looking forward to an inspiring and enriching day together!
