in peace for peace | walking meditation in the city
24. October || 14:00 – 16:00
An invitation and initiative by the group “Touching Peace” (*2022), rooted in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh
meeting point: 2 pm at the Berlin Wall Memorial in front of the Chapel of Reconciliation (by the ‘Reconciliation’ sculpture), Bernauer Str. 4, 10115 Berlin
We recommend arriving a little earlier to spend a moment in silence in the Chapel of Reconciliation
Our present is characterised by many forms of polarisation – walls between us and walls within us. Berlin bears the memory of a concrete wall that separated people, paths and ways of life from one another. We can remind ourselves that separation does not define us, and that we can come together – step by step.
Walking meditation is a practice that allows us to connect with and strengthen our desire for inner peace.

There are many walls, many obstacles on the way. We need several hundred years fighting together in order to remove these kinds of obstacles away. “To put an end to exclusion,” yes, we all agree. But how to do it?.
